Pole is not seen due to focus settings

The pole does not appear out of nowhere. At the very beginning, there is a car driving behind it. You can see it clearly. I don't think it's fake.

I just don't understand why someone would videotape off a balcony for so long beforehand. Seems like a conspiracy...normally people drop or pull the videocamera for a few seconds to see with both eyes...this camera doesn't even shake when it happens.
